PURPOSE:To obtain a hair-tonic giving clearly and remarkably recognizable hair-tonic effect by external application, free from irritation to the skin and having extremely high safety, by compounding oridonin as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair-tonic contains, as an essential component, oridonin which is a component extracted from Isodon japonicus and/or Isodon trichocarpus, etc., (known as ENMEISO) belonging to Isodon genus, Labiatae family. The hair-tonic exhibits distinctive hair-tonic effect by external application and has remarkably excellent hair-tonic effect compared with conventional hair-tonic which has practically no hair-tonic effect. Furthermore, it does not irritate the skin and has no danger of causing allergic reaction and rash to the skin in contrast with conventional hair-tonic. The above component can be produced by finely crushing dried leaves or stalks of the above plant, extracting with methanol under refluxing for 2-5hr and purifying the extract by filtration, activated carbon treatment, repeated filtration, concentration under reduced pressure and column chromatography. |
