摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the difficulty in the position adjustment of a focus detection sensor by storing the quantity of the optical position shift between a photoelectric converting element and a film surface and a correcting value and correcting it when arithmetic operation is performed. CONSTITUTION:1st and the 2nd images formed with pieces of luminous flux passed through the 1st and the 2nd part across the optical axis of a photographic lens 1 are converted photoelectrically by a photoelectric converting element 2. An arithmetic means 3 detects the correlation between the 1st and the 2nd images based on the conversion output and computes the quantity and direction of shifting from the focusing position of the photographic lens 1. The direction and quantity are sent to a driving device 4 to drive the photographic lens 1 to the focusing position. The quantity of optical position shifting from the film surface of the photoelectric converting element is stored in a storage means 5 previously as the correcting value, which is sent to a correcting means for correcting the position shift of the photoelectric converting element when the arithmetic means 3 computes the quantity and direction of the shifting, so that the accurate arithmetic operation is performed.
