PURPOSE:To manufacture a pulley of high accuracy without the deformation of a center hole by forming a rib in the circumferential direction on a metal disk face in the case of manufacturing a pulley by supporting the metal disk having the center hole for inserting a shaft by a clamper from both sides and forming a belt hanging part by pressing a roller to the outer circumferential end face. CONSTITUTION:The center hole 2 for inserting a shaft is formed at the center of a steel made disk 1 as for the blank for a pulley and the rib 3 projecting in the plate thickness direction of the steel disk 1 is formed in the circumferential direction by a pressing as well. The disk 1 is supported by pressing from both sides by the roller 12a having the rib supporting faces 4, 5 corresponding to this rib 3 and a cylindrical part 15 is formed by pressing the roller 12a rotated synchronously with the disk 1 to the outer circumferential end face of the disk 1. Plural grooves 14 for V belt are then formed by rotating the roller 12b for forming plural V grooves by pressing it to the outer circumferential face of this cylindrical part 15. In this case the movement of the metal of the steel disk 1 is checked by the clampers 6, 7 supporting the rib 3 and it from both sides and the pulley in a high accuracy shape without the deformation of the center hole 2 is obtd.
