PURPOSE:To omit a labor and time to depress and input a key again by an operator, by performing inspection again by switching the shift of an inputted character string when it is judged that the character string is not a correct character string as a result of inspection. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed character string is inputted from a keyboard part 2, and is stored in a character buffer 3. Next, a character string length is stored in a prescribed register, and furthermore, the next shift is stored in the register in advance. Next, it is inspected whether the character string forms a word though it is inputted, or it is suitable for a regulation by a word extraction part 4, and a regulation check part 5. Next, a decision processing whether the character string is valid or not based on the result of the inspection at a decision part 6. And when a decided result is not valid, the inspection and the decision processing are performed by switching the shift. The above step is repeated until the decision result becomes valid. Thus, it is possible to omit the labor and time to depress and input a correct key again when the operation of a shift key is mistaken or forgotten.
