PURPOSE:To cancel an automatic repeat state and simultaneously to interrupt the input of a key, by interrupting a function by the input of the key at the same time of releasing the key being depressed continuously on a key input keyboard. CONSTITUTION:A key input control circuit 2, when detecting the depression of an arbitrary key on the key input keyboard 1, decides whether it is the automatic repeat state. When it is the automatic repeat state, it decides whether a buffer 4 is in a vacant state, and when it is in the vacant state, a key code is stored at a prescribed position on the buffer 4. Next, it decides whether the key code under the automatic repeat state is taken out by an information processor 6, and when it has been taken out already, it stores the key code at the prescribed position on the buffer 4. Meanwhile, when the key code under the automatic repeat state stored in the buffer 4 is not taken out by the processor 6, the storage of the key code on the buffer 4 is not performed. In such way, it is possible to prevent the key code from being accumulated excessively.
