The subject of the invention is a rope ladder enabling a person who is physically handicapped in the lower limbs to heave himself up onto a horse. It consists of a rope provided with two wooden rungs having a cross-section of 50 x 27 cm which are fixed at the lower part. The device, according to the invention, is particularly intended for a person who is handicapped in the left lower limb, but it can be used by a person who is handicapped in the right lower limb or in both lower limbs. To use it, the end part of this rope has to be slipped under the right front of the horse and the ladder then has to be passed over the withers. <IMAGE>
