PURPOSE:To obtain the proper pickup state using focal distance information being the conversion into a value corresponding to a pattern size of a still video pack by means of a conversion means so as to set the state of a focus distance depending means in loading the still video pack to a camera body. CONSTITUTION:A system microcomputer 34 is provided in the camera body. A ROM 8 in an exchange lens 4 applies data transmission/reception to/from the microcomputer 34. Then the focus information of the lens is supplied from the ROM 8. When a switch means BSW is turned on the give information identifying whether the film pack is loaded or a still video pack is loaded, it represents the still video pack device. In this case, the microcomputer 34 converts the focus information given from the lens 4 and uses the equivalent film sensitivity of a CCD of the still video pack as the film sensitivity information.
