<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an accelerative movement of an oscillating gear by specifically controlling a drive for the oscillating gear at the time of switching over the take-up direction. CONSTITUTION:The rotating direction of a capstan 10 and a reel motor 16 is reversed in response to the changeover instruction for take-up direction, the oscillating gear is meshed with a gear for feed reel 1 after disengaging with a gear for take-up reel 2 in their intermesh. During the time of this disengagement condition, the reel motor 16 is controlled via a control section and a gear 18 is driven intermittently, thus preventing an accelerative movement of the gear 18 due to an accelerative rise of the number of revolutions under non-load condition. Consequently, the take-up direction can be switched over without slacking or over-stretching a magnetic tape 4.</p> |
