<p>Integrally constructed reference circuit applicable to radiation monitoring or scanning instruments. Consists of three rotary switches enabling the variables of density (Z) impulse rate (N) and collimator half-life (H) to be set independently to selected values. Correction factors Cs and Ch are also applied to (Z) and (H) and the factors T and V i.e. time constant and scanning speed are evaluated according to the formulae . T = 2 (Z-1/2)2 Cs and V = H Ch Inherent instrument errors are rapidly established and the circuitry is universally applicable to radiation scanning type instruments.</p> |
