REACTOR FOR SACCHARIFICATION OF WOOD FLOUR

PURPOSE:To enable smooth discharge of reaction residue after the saccharification reaction of wood flour, by carrying out the reaction using a reactor having a funnel-shaped inverted truncated conical wall inclined toward the discharge port of the bottom at an angle of larger than the angle of repose. CONSTITUTION:The reaction residue of wood flour produced by saccharification of wood flour is smoothly discharged from a reactor having a stirring shaft 11 furnished with ribbon-type stirring blade 13 at the center of the reactor and having a discharge port 15 at the center of the bottom. The wall 12 of the reactor has a shape of inverted truncated cone with an inclination angle of 60-85 deg. and the bottom part 14 has a funnel shape inclined toward the discharge port 15 at an inclination of steeper than the angle of repose, e.g. about 30-60 deg..
