<p>PURPOSE:To attain low power consumption surely without a heavy load burdening the operator by turning on a supply voltage to a lighting section at a prescribed interval other than the real operating time. CONSTITUTION:When an operating section main body 1 is spaced a sheet of paper 8 having a bar code, a change detecting circuit 14 is inoperative because an output Vout from the main body 1 is constant, and an output 7A of a power supply on/off circuit 7 transmitted to the main body 1 is a+Vcc having the width T2 outputted from a one-shot circuit 13 by the leading of an oscillator 12. Then, in scanning the bar code on the paper 8 with the main body carried, the circuit 14 is operated by the change in the output Vout of the main body 1 and its output 14A triggers a circuit 15. An output 16A of an OR gate 16 is maintained independently of an output of the oscillator 12 during the durating period of the output 15A of the circuit 15 and the +Vcc is continued for a setting time T3 at an output 7A of the circuit 7 by the duration of the output 16A.</p> |
