PURPOSE:To permit stable casting by specifying the content of S in a graphite molding material for forming a graphite mold for continuous casting to be used for production of chromium-zirconium-contg. copper alloys. CONSTITUTION:The content of S in the graphite molding material for forming the graphite mold for continuous casting to be used for producing the chromium- zirconium-contg. copper alloys by a continuous casting method is confined to <=0.0070wt%. A high-quality ingot is thereby stably cast with good lubricity without generating defects such as cracks on the ingot surface. |
