PURPOSE:To improve graininess of the titled material by incorporating a specific coupler to the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains the coupler shown by formula I or II wherein A is a coupler residue capable of releasing a part except A by reacting with an oxidant of a developing agent, L is a timing group, (n) is 0 or 1, X is an aliphatic, an aromatic, an aliphatic oxy, an aliphatic or an aromatic thio, an aliphatic or an aromatic acyl, an aliphatic or an aromatic oxycarbonyl, an aliphatic or an aromatic sulfonyl, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, an aliphatic or an aromatic acylamino, oxycarbonylamino, ureido, or carbamoyloxy group, halogen atom, cyano, formyl or nitro group, (m) is 1 or 2. Thus, the novel functional coupler having the excellent graininess of the color image and the excellent control of gradient of the color image is obtd. |
