PURPOSE:To attain the on-hook transmission while a handset is kept on its rest by providing a switch which forms a transmission loop to the handset, and a means to the rest to turn on and off said switch by up-down movement of a lever. CONSTITUTION:For a telephone set, both a switch 15 and a hook switch 16 are kept off while a handset 1 is put on its rest 2. When the handset is picked up for normal transmission, the switch 16 is turned on to secure a transmission enable state. In case the transmission is carried out while the handset 1 is kept on the rest 2, a lever 3 is moved up to make a magnet 31 adsorb a metallic plate 14. Then the switch 15 is pushed up to secure a transmission mode. In this case, the switch 16 is kept off. Then the number of the remote side is dialed with dial buttons 11 provided on the rear side of the handset 1. Thus the switch 15 is released and at the same time the switch 16 works. Then a telephone circuit keeps a loop state. |
