PURPOSE:To control the pressure of a large capacity air tank in a short time and with high accuracy by using the signal received from a differential pressure detector which detects the difference between the reference air pressure and the air pressure to be controlled to control both air supply and discharge control valves. CONSTITUTION:A differential pressure detector 2 like a differential pressure switch, etc., is provided between a reference air pressure generator 1 and an air tank 6 to detect directly the air pressure difference by a contact signal. An electrical air supply control valve 4 is provided for supply of air between the tank 6 and an air supply source. At the same time, an electrical air discharge control valve 5 is provided to the tank 6 for discharge of air. Then the valve 4 or 5 is actuated when an air pressure difference exists between the reference air pressure and the pressure of the tank 6. Thus the pressure of the tank 6 is controlled to the reference air pressure. In such a way, the pressure of a matter to undergo pressure control is controlled by a stable action in a short time and with high accuracy.
