PURPOSE:To perform the maintenance and inspection of both surfaces of a frame safely and easily by mounting the backup roll frame of a multi-stage cluster mill on a stand and turning it upside down. CONSTITUTION:Stands 2, 3 for supporting a backup roll frame 4 are installed oppositely at a prescribed distance on the upper surface of a base bed 1. Further, frame supporting axes 5, 6 are projectingly provided to both sides of the frame 4. On the other hand, holding holes 11 to be fitted to the axes 5, 6 for turning the frame 4 freely upside down, are provided to the stands 2, 3. A positioning pin 12 is further provided to the stand 2 at one side to insert it into the end face of the frame 4 to position and fix the frame 4. Next, a driving mechanism for turning the frame 4 upside down is provided adjacently to the stand 3 side, which is provided with a reducer 10 connected freely attachably and detachably to the axis 6 projecting from the stand 3 side, a clutch 14 connected to the reducer 10, a worm reducer 8, and a motor 7. |
