PURPOSE:To stably obtain an electric welded tube with the excellent quantity by cooling electric welded tube manufacturing equipment by liquefied inert gas or/and liquefied neutral gas to manufacture the tube. CONSTITUTION:The liquefied inert gas and/or the liquefied neutral gas (argon, nitrogen, helium, etc.,) from supply nozzles 11 and 12 are directly sprayed upon a feeding device and its peripheral device which are cooled by the liquefied gas itself or the heat of vaporization when the gas is vaporized. In this case, since water is not used for cooling, impurities or an oxide do not remain in a weld zone and the weld quality of the ordinary welding is improved. Furthermore, the shielding property at the time of shield welding is improved.
