PURPOSE:To make the diameter of a contact roll small and to improve printing finish, by mounting the contact roll having a small diameter support in a freely rotatable manner by a frame, a backup roller for preventing the bending of the contact roll, a support for supporting the backup roller in a freely rotatable manner and the guide roll mounted to the frame in a freely rotatable manner. CONSTITUTION:Since the contact roll 32 directly contacting with a web 20 has a relatively small diameter and is easy to generate bending, one set of backup rollers 34, 35 are arranged at a ratio of one per about 20-30 cm to support the contact roll 32 in reduced friction resistance with high accuracy. Guide rolls 52, 54 are used in order to prevent the web 20 from contacting the corner of a frame 40 or the backup rollers 34, 35. When the frame 40 moves, all of the contact roll 32, the backup rollers 34, 35, supports 37, 38, the guide rolls 52, 54 and support members 56, 58 integrally move to act as if they are one plate cylinder. Since the contact roll can be made extremely thin, good quality printing is obtained. |
