The invention relates to scaffolding comprising : - two poles 1 intended to be erected vertically in front of a wall 7, at the same distance from the latter, each pole comprising a tripod 6 for resting on the ground and props 8 for bearing on the wall, - two slides 3 which can each move along a respective pole 1 by virtue of a mechanism making it possible, using an actuating device 4, to make it move up or down, under load, along the pole, a bracket 10 which is positioned between the pole 1 and the wall 7 being fixed to each slide 3, - and an oblong platform 2 resting on the brackets 10 in order to form a working surface of adjustable height. <IMAGE>
