A portable car crusher is formed from a lower base table, with a central pivot supported at each end by a pillar, upon which a lever arm is mounted. Each lever arm is attached at one end of a hydraulic cylinder, and at the other to a link. This link connects with the pressure pad. The other end of the hydraulic cylinder is attached to a compression block which can be retained by clamps. By sequential operation of the hydraulic cylinders and retaining clamps, the pressure pads can be brought to bear upon the vehicle shell in stages, until complete compression is achieved. The portable car crusher is provided with a means whereby the lever arms are capable, together with the hydraulic cylinders of retaining a set of wheels to render the unit mobile. |
