PURPOSE:To obtain an antioxidant organism protecting agent useful as metallothionein inducer or radiation hazard protecting agent, containing Streptococcus haemolytics subjected to elimination treatment of streptolysin S producing ability as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION:A cell of Streptococcus haemolytics is cultivated in a medium containing penicillin, cephalosporin C, cyclocerine, etc., and Streptococcus haemolytics is subjected to elimination treatment of streptolysin S producing ability. The Streptococcus haemolytics and zinc are blended with a diluent, an excipient, a carrier, etc., pharmaceutically manufactured by a conventional procedure to give the aimed substance in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule, injection, etc. A proper dose is 0.1-50mg Streptococcus haemolytics is OK-432, a cell obtained by treating Streptococcus pyogenes Su strain of human derived A group Streptococcus haemolytics with potassium penicillin G. |
