The engine is provided on the engine head (7) with annularly arranged overflow openings (13) and a discharge opening (14). This arrangement allows a unidirectional flow of the fresh mixture (16) during the scavenging process from bottom to top, pushing the residual burned gases (15) upwards and enabling the complete separation of the fresh charge from the burned gas. A valve (8) controlled by the rotating motor shaft (1) opens or closes the discharge opening, enabling said discharge opening (14) to be closed before the overflow opening (13) and thereby avoiding the escape of part of the fresh charge (16) through the discharge opening. |
