Medical apparatus constituted by a non contact measuring device, for use in diagnosing and monitoring various eye conditions. So that it can be provided very simply, accurately and economically, the apparatus includes a camera having transparent screens (12) carrying grids or other markings which will become reproduced on a photograph or transparency of the patient's eye and is seen on focussing screen of camera. The camera will preferably have a disc (14) of circles of known measurements on its lens (10) so that the user of the apparatus will be able to observe and measure the reflections of the rings on a patient's cornea.
