Warp tying machine

During tying of coloured and/or patterned warp ends, the warp repeats are to be taken into consideration so that the correct warp threads are interconnected and are brought into the heald frame assigned to this warp thread pair. The monitoring of the warp repeats has previously taken place by optical checks and counting of the threads by an operator. The new warp tying machine is to monitor observation of the repeats itself. Provided on the machine is a thread detector (4) which in each case detects an interconnected thread pair (2) and at the same time triggers a counting pulse via a sensor (7). The counting pulses are counted in a counter and compared with a predetermined repeat number which has been entered into a register. If the counter has counted a number of counting pulses corresponding to the repeat number, the machine is stopped. This warp tying machine makes it possible to carry out complicated warp repeats without it being necessary to count manually the thread pairs to be interconnected. <IMAGE>
