PURPOSE:To suppress the knocking phenomenon by map-searching and determining the ignition timing from the fundamental fuel injection pulse width which is obtained by smoothing the fundamental fuel injection pulse width and the engine revolution speed, when the state close to the perfect opening of the engine is detected from the opening degree of a throttle valve. CONSTITUTION:When a throttle opening degree sensor 12 detects the perfect opening, the ignition timing is map-searched and determined from the fundamental fuel injection pulse width which is obtained by smoothing the fundamental fuel injection pulse width and the engine revolution speed. Therefore, when the opening degree of a throttle valve 7 is in the perfect opening state, the ignition timing corresponding to the fundamental fuel injection pulse width and the engine revolution speed can be set without delaying the ignition timing over necessity, and generation of knocking can be prevented. Therefore, the engine faculty in the state where the opening degree of the throttle is perfect opening can be improved.
