Parallel with the parting wall between semi-detached homes, roof tiles are joined by a deformable strip of sound absorbing material. The U-shaped strip has end flaps, engaging with the edges of adjoining tiles. The sealing element is of a U-shape with a double walled upper leg (15), single walled bottom section (16), and single wall bottom leg (17). Elements grip around side edges (2a) of each tile (21). The upper leg part is profiled to fit in grooves of the sides edges. The outer part of the upper leg is a flap (18) with recesses (19) to fit over protrusions at bottom of the roof tiles.
