PURPOSE:To quickly shift one music reproduction state to another music reproduction state by reproducing continuously address information only from plural disks, storing them in a memory and then shifting into the reproduction state of recording information of each disk. CONSTITUTION:When two disks Da and Db are set on a turntable and it is detected by a limit switch that a pickup 3 is positioned to the innermost circular position of the disk Da, the disk Da is started in turning and the pickup 3 is also started to be moved towards the outer circumferential direction of the disk. Subsequently, the address information of the disk Da is reproduced and stored into the memory. When a completion of reading out the address information of the disk Da is detected, the pickup 3 is ready for receiving a reproducing command when it is detected that the pickup 3 which is transferred towards the disk Da is positioned to the innermost circular position of the disk Db, and hence a spindle motor 2b and a pickup feed motor 9 are stopped in their rotation accordingly. Under such conditions the normal reproduction of the disk is feasible in operating the reproduction.
