Method and device for joining together a thermoplastic material and a material of the cellulosic type, such as cardboard, wood, paper, woven or non-woven textile materials or analogous products. They are characterised by an application of the ultrasonic welding techniques such that there is caused not only a softening of the thermoplastic material ( ) to be joined but also a migration of the said material into at least some zones of the cellulosic material ( ) intended to be joined up to the said thermoplastic material.
