Friction-type roller-way having a plurality of transverse shafts which are mounted at their ends in lateral side cheeks, lie parallel to one another, receive the friction rollers, carrying the goods to be conveyed, in a frictionally locking manner and are driven, via in each case one pair of bevel gears, by a longitudinal shaft extending along one of the side cheeks, characterised by a cutout which forms a central guide for workpiece carriers to be conveyed, extends in the longitudinal direction in the centre of the band and is provided in order to receive at least two guide bolts which project downwards from the workpiece carrier.
