PURPOSE:To permit the quick correction of air-fuel ratio in the initial period of starting combustion, by a method wherein ignition is effected by a smaller feed rate of air and lower air-fuel ratio than ones during stationary combustion and the convergent value of signals from a condition detecting means is estimated by the amount of change per unit time of the signals from the condition detecting means during combustion under a low air-fuel ratio whereby the feed rate of air or fuel in the case of stationary combustion is determined. CONSTITUTION:A switch 21 switches a route for transmitting a signal to a burner motor driving unit 17 from a first air feeding signal transmitting unit 16 into a second air feeding signal transmitting unit 22, in order to switch a low air-fuel ratio upon ignition into the same during stationary combustion. Combustion condition is detected by a thermocouple 1, provided in a burner 10. An operating unit 23 operates the amount of change per unit time by the difference of the output value of the thermocouple 1 upon the starting time and the finishing time of the counting of a timer unit 20 while an air-fuel ratio correcting unit 24 estimates the convergent value of the temperature signals of the thermocouple 1 by the result of operations of the operating unit 23 and outputs a correcting signal to the second air feeding signal transmitting unit 22. According to this method, easy ignition is permitted and the optimum combustion condition may be set quickly. |
