PURPOSE:To reduce fuel cost and also to stably operate a blast furnace, by forming the titled briquetted ore so that it has more than one opening having a specific space ratio based on the apparent volume of the above ore so as to improve reducibility and permeability. CONSTITUTION:As raw material for iron manufacture, the titled briquetted ore, a formed body 1 which has a size of 5-50cm<3> apparent volume and also has a shape having more than one opening 2 for 5-35% space ratio based on the apparent volume, can be obtained by blending cement with iron-ore fines, by kneading them with the addition of water and by supplying the above kneaded material between a couple of rolls consisting of a drive roll rotor 3 and a loading roll rotor 4 in a manufacturing equipment for briquetted ore to undergo compression and also to be formed into the above-mentioned formed body 1 via projections 5 for partition and projections 6 for opening provided to the surfaces of the roll 3 and 4, respectively.
