PURPOSE:To expand an application range by using a signal circuit so as to extract only the signal of moving direction from each pulse signal outputted from a mouse main body in a mouse with output selective function so as to connect the signal to a personal computer through switching. CONSTITUTION:The mouse with output selection function consists of a mouse main body 5, a signal extraction circuit 6, a changeover switch 4 and output terminals 8 having 4 or over of connection terminals. A personal computer is connected to the mouse and four pulses in response to directions orthogonal to each other and in reverse directions of the position of a cursor on a CRT display screen of the computer are outputted from the terminals 8. In selecting one moving direction by the main body 5, a 1st pulse signal is sent in response to the direction by horizontal/vertical direction signal processing circuits 21, 22 of the extraction circuit 6 and a 2nd pulse signal to which phase is retarded in response to the selection in opposite to the moving direction are sent.
