PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber product having improved heat resistance, mechanical strength, and flexibility, by subjecting ceramic fiber and organic fiber to mixed fiber spinning with an organic binder, heating it so that the organic fiber is thermally decomposed. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic fiber (preferably silica alumina) and organic fiber (preferably acrylic fiber, having 1.5-7 denier and 5-10cm length) in a weight ratio of preferably (70-50:30-50) are coated with preferably 0.5-0.01wt% organic binder (preferably consisting essentially of coconut oil or peanut oil blended with an antistatic agent, smoothing agent, etc.), subjected to mixed fiber spinning, and heated so that the organic fiber is thermally decomposed, to give the desired heat-resistant fiber product. |
