PURPOSE:To reduce crosstalk and crossfeed and improve the shielding effect to improve S/N by forming a nonmagnetic metallic layer in the joining part between an R/W (read/write) core and an E (erase) core by sputtering. CONSTITUTION:A layer 13 consisting of a high-conductivity nonmagnetic metal like Cr is formed between head consisting of L type and I type R/W head cores 1 and 2 and L type and I type erase head cores 3 and 4 by sputtering or the like. An eddy current flows to this layer 13 by the current flowing windings, and the mutual influence of high frequency leaked magnetic flux between R/W cores 1 and 2 and E cores 3 and 4 is reduced by the reacting magnetic field based on the eddy current. Consequently, crosstalk and crossfeed are reduced and the shield effect from an external magnetic field is improved to improve S/N.
