MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a medium which has excellent durability and runnability and decreases signal fluctuation by coating a back coating layer contg. a prescribed ratio of specific carbon black on the rear face of a base on the front face of which a magnetic coated film is formed. CONSTITUTION:A back coating material contg. the carbon black which is subjected to an oxidation treatment on the peripheral face and has >=20mum average particle size at 30-300pts.wt. ratio per 100pts.wt. binder is coated on the rear face of the nonmagnetic base on the front face of which the magnetic coated film contg. ferromagnetic metallic powder is formed in such a manner that the coated surface is slightly rougher than the surface of the magnetic coated film. The average roughness of the coating material is specified to <=0.03mu and the surface electric resistance to <=10<6>OMEGA. The magnetic recording medium which has the excellent wear resistance and runnability and decreases the signal fluctuation is thereby obtd.
