PURPOSE:To prevent fuel from clogging in bunker system without fail, by providing a small secondary bunker at a discharge port in the lower part of a solid fuel storing bunker, and by evaporating to remove water content mixed with solid fuel by combustion exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:A small secondary bunker 19 is provided at a discharge port in the lower part of a bunker 14 which stores a coal 12 as solid fuel. A gas forwarding passage 30 is provided, connected to the inside of the lower part of a secondary bunker 19, branched off from midway of a flue 7 which leads a combustion exhaust gas 3a into a furnace 1. The gas 3b which is part of the combustion exhaust gas 3a is extracted from the flue 7 through the passage 30, and is injected into the lower part of a secondary bunker 19 through dampers 31 and 32. The combustion exhaust gas 3b rises up through the gaps among the coal 12 which stays in the secondary bunker 19, heating the coal to evaporate the water content mixed with the coal. After that the coal is stoked into the furnace 1 together with steam, passing through a gas discharge pipe 33 and through a damper 34.
