PURPOSE:To prevent generation of shape defects and burning-in by shrinkage of a casting at the time of solidification by rounding fibers of the same kind as a casting material and disposing such fibers in the wide part of a casting cavity at the time of casting a molten metal and resin into a casting mold. CONSTITUTION:The fibers 7 consisting of the same material as the material of the metal or resin to be cast are rounded to a ball shape and are disposed by a hole casting pin 6 in the wide part of the casting cavity at the time of pouring the molten metal or resin into the cavity 5 of a metallic mold 3 consisting of a stationary mold 1 and moving mold 2. The molten metal or resin is cast into the mold 3 after the mold is clamped. The molten metal or resin cast in the mold is decreased by as much as the amt. of the fibers disposed in the cavity 5 and since the amt. of the shrinkage on solidification decreases correspondingly, the generation of the shrinkage defects such as crack is obviated and the temp. of the molten metal etc., cast of the fiber material falls. The generation of the burning-in by the overheating of the mold 3 is thus prevented. |
