PURPOSE:To reproduce an optional color in an optional area into another color by providing a color conversion circuit which converts a specific color in a specified area into a converted color according to the outputs from three specification means. CONSTITUTION:As for respective colors data (Yi, Mi and Ci) inputted in a color conversion circuit, the color component ratios are inputted in window comparators 156-158 as a yellow ratio, a magenta ratio and a cyanogen ratio. When the ratios exist between the compared superior value and inferior value of the respective color components set by a CPU bus, the inputted color is decided to be a desirable color and inputted in the S0 input of a selector 175 when the outputs from three inputs AND 165 become one. While the converted desirable color data is inputted in the inputs 1-3 of the selector 175 as a Y component, an M component and a C component respectively, an area signal generated in an area generation circuit is inputted in the S1 as '1' in a specified area and the conversion of colors is executed when the S0 and S1 are '1'.
