发明名称 ELECTRONIC IMPACT TYPE ON THRUSTER
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance a cooling effect, by applying a surface treatment, which reflects the sunlight, to the outside of thruster case and coating the surface treated outside of the thruster case with a substance which decreases a rate of absorption of the sunlight and increases a rate of radiation of heat. CONSTITUTION:Ionizing plasma is generated by an electron colliding against Xe gas introduced into a discharge vessel 8 from a hollow cathode 1. A surface treatment 11, for reflecting the sunlight, is applied to outside a metal part 9 of a thruster case 5. On top of this surface treatment, a coating is applied with a substance, for instance, glass material decreasing a rate of absorption of the sunlight and increasing rate of radiation of heat. Accordingly, the cooling method, almost equal to black body radiation with very little influence by the sunlight, can be realized.
