PURPOSE:To correct the deviation of white balance automatically by presetting a time when a color temperature of, e.g., the sun changes and moving the motor- driven universal head of a color television camera in the direction of object capable of automatic white balance so as to operate the automatic white function. CONSTITUTION:An interruption circuit 4 compares a time signal from a time generating section 3 with a time preset signal from a time preset section built in an interruption circuit 4 and generates an interruption signal to an operation section 5 when the both are coincident. An operation section 5 operates a color television camera 2 and a motor driven universal head 1, a universal head preset section 6 stores the mode of a lens of the camera 2 and the motor-driven universal head 1 and a drive control section 7 drives or controls the lens of the camera 2 and the motor-driven universal head 1. Then the mode taking the white balance of the camera 2 automatically that is, the mode picking up a white wall or the like of a building is stored in one of the universal head preset sections 6, the mode is called at a routine time, the automatic white control of the operation section 5 is operated at the same time to the white balance thereby picking up the picture with excellent picture quality.
