PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of transportation of a condensate thereby to improve the performance of the heat pipe by providing a jet nozzle at the heat receiving part within a vessel, and connecting the suction part of the nozzle to the condensing part of the inside of the vessel by means of an ejector tube. CONSTITUTION:Heat received by the heat receiving part 2 of the thermal syphon type heat pipe heats a thermal medium 4 and evaporates the same. The vapor thus generated is turned down by a jet nozzle 5 and rises up within a heat pipe vessel 1. Then, the vapor condenses at a mesh 8 and a wick 6, and is returned to the heat receiving part 2 by the capillary action of the wick 6 and the action of the ejector tube 7. Since the ejector tube 7 generates a suction pressure when the vapor of the heat medium passes through the jet nozzle 5, the heat medium trapped by the mesh 8 is forcibly transported to the heat receiving part 2. By this procedure, the return force of the condensate is increased and the performance of the heat pipe is improved.
