PURPOSE:To make it possible to process all kinds of material highly accurately, by carrying out a processing of a nonspherical curve of a work at a rating size cutting of a minute area, and repeating the process and the measurement in a unifying operation of a processing device and a measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A work 24 on a work rotary table 22 is moved to a tool 33 together with a setting table 2 by the rotation of a ball screw 4, positioned by the rotation of the table 22 and an X and a Z axes linear positioning device 14 and 13, the tool 33 is rotated by the sliding of electrostrictive elements 46 and the rotation of the work 24, and a minute area rating size cutting process is carried out by spring 48. Then, the processing surface of the work 24 is opposed to a measuring element 49 held by a holder 50 which is unitary with a processing device 26, and a process deformation of the work form is detected by the operation of a micrometer head 54. By repeating the measurement and the processing, a highly accurate processing to all kinds of materials can be carried out.
