CONSTITUTION:A sheet W having relatively small ductility and toughness is formed by bending through the bending die 1 in which a prescribed bending angle is formed and a punch 10 to move in the die 1 direction. The groove 3 shallowed in its corner side along with the corner part is provided at the corner part of the bending die 1, an end part Wa of the temporarily bent sheet W is set on the upper surface 1a of the die 1. Then, when the punch 10 is moved in the direction of the die 1 to slide a holder part 11 on the sheet W on the upper surface 1a of the die 1, the projecting part 12 of the punch 10 bends the end part Wa while pushing it into the groove 3 to work bending compressively.
