In the selective-cut heading machine according to the invention, the loading conveyor (11) extending from the loading shovel (10) to the rear side of the machine in the longitudinal axis of the machine is subdivided twice by horizontal joints (14, 15), the front conveyor section (16) forming with the loading shovel (10) a vertically pivotable pivoting unit, while the rear conveyor section (18) forms a transfer boom. The centre conveyor section (17) passes through a tunnel (13) in the swivel-chair area of the machine and is connected with its rear end in a tension-proof manner to a slide (26) via a coupling member (28) designed as a link. The slide (26) is supported and guided on the travel-gear frame (2). Supported at the same time on the link (28) is the lifting device (30) for the vertical pivoting of the rear conveyor section (18). Without impairing other functions, the entire loading apparatus can be displaced in the direction of the machine axis with an unrestricted transfer function.
