Combined ignition and monitoring device for burners

The invention relates to a combined ignition and monitoring device for burners for liquid, gaseous and dustlike fuels, in particular for burners for the gasification of dustlike fuels under pressure. The aim is to increase the safety and effectiveness of starting and reaction processes. According to the invention, in an enveloping tube there are arranged a tube and monitoring elements which are closed towards the reaction space by a convergent lens or quartz glass discs. Outside the reactor, a laser is mounted on the tube, through which the laser beam is coupled into the reaction space. The monitoring elements are connected to a decentralised evaluation unit.
