The device comprises an essentially triangular gripping and supporting plate 12 for the container 55. It can be improved for reliably holding the container 55 to the extent that the gripping and supporting plate 12 is connected with limited mobility, by means of at least one hinge arrangement 36 having associated restoring means and blocking means, to a gripping arm 37 in such a way that when the gripping arm 37 is moved into its normal starting position for the discharging process, the gripping and supporting plate 12 is also brought into a fixed normal starting position for the discharging process with respect to the gripping arm 37 and is blocked in this position. For this purpose, the gripping and supporting plate 12 can, on the one hand, be movably connected to a transverse carrier 21a, 21b, for example via an articulated lever and restoring spring, and be guided for example by means of a cam arrangement for a simultaneous vertical displacement relative to the transverse carrier and a swinging movement towards and away from the said carrier, to be precise in such a way that, in the unloaded state, the gripping and supporting plate has its tip directed opposite to the container to be received and upon lowering into the normal starting position for the discharging process is swivelled towards the transverse carrier. On the other hand, instead of or in addition to this, a transverse carrier 21a, 21b which carries the gripping and supporting plate 12 can be attached to the gripping arm 37 via a bracket which can be rotated in a limited manner about a vertical axis, in order to make the gripping and supporting plate 12 swivellable with respect to the gripping arm 37 and give it limited forward and rearward mobility so as thus to avoid shocks when the gripping and supporting plate is brought up to a container. This limited mobility has particular importance for the receiving and discharging of large containers or smaller containers standing next to one another. For this purpose, the transverse carrier 21a, 21b can be mounted in the manner of a two- armed lever on the bracket 36 and carry a gripping and supporting plate 12 on each lever arm. …<IMAGE>… |
