When a loaded video disc is retreived with its protective sleeve, there is a risk of the sleeve being pushed under or over the disk. This will happen if the sleeve is inserted at too great an angle. This arrangement solves the problem by means of two grooves just inside the loading slot. If the sleeve is inserted at too great an angle into the slot and guiding channels then the forward edge of the sleeve will be blocked by the grooves.
