PURPOSE:To treat muddy water readily and to form high-quality solid useful as a roadbed material, etc., by specifically pretreating waste muddy water containing clay minerals, dehydrating the pretreated muddy water to give dehydrated cake and adding a specific soil-quality improver to the dehydrated cake. CONSTITUTION:First waste muddy water containing clay minerals is blended with an exchangeable base except Na<+>, the waste muddy water is made alkali, mixed with an inorganic acid into an acidic state and the waste muddy water is thus pretreated. Then, the waste muddy water is dehydrated. Further the dehydrated cake separated in the dehydrating process is blended with a soil- quality improver selected from (A) specific lime obtained by mixing quick lime with gypsum in a weight ratio of 9-5:1-5, (B) burnt ash of sludge, (C) burnt ash of sludge modified with ash obtained by blending the component A with the component B in a weight ratio of 9-5:1-5 and (D) burnt ash of sludge modified with cement obtained by blending the component B with a blast furnace cement mixture in a weight ratio of 9-5:1-5 to form high-quality soil. |
