For the simpler fitting of textile wall coverings, a retaining-profile rail, onto which the covering material is fastened by means of a self-adhesive layer, is pressed into a wall profile rail. The projecting covering material can be pressed into the profile between the two rails and thus absorbs some of the tension of the covering material. If a self-adhesive layer is dispensed with, the material is fastened exclusively by clamping in between the two rails.
