The invention relates to a dental implant for fastening of a denture. The invention is applied in stomatology. The invention is suitable for patients who have lost individual maxillary or mandibular teeth and for free-end gaps in the mandible. The essence of the invention resides in the fact that a cap-shaped denture support non-positively connected to the basic body consists of a truncated conical member receiving the denture and of a concave neck member to be connected to the basic body of the implant. The truncated conical member adjoins the neck member directly or via a stepped shoulder. Several basic bodies of implants or complete implants are connected to form a block via a connecting bridge. The benefits of the implant system lie in the fact that is is suitable for replacing individual teeth and, when combined to blocks, is suitable for replacing groups of teeth. Because it is possible to combine different lengths of the basic bodies the individual anatomical situation in the jaw region can be taken into account. <IMAGE>
